Terms of Reference:

This IUSSP Scientific Panel on Spatial Demography will focus on meeting the instructional challenges, specifically developing and implementing strategies to promote and facilitate the instruction in fundamental spatial reasoning, the utilization of existing and emergent forms of geospatial data, and the application of spatial analytical methods in demographic research.

The Panel will draw on its extensive network within the Union and the discipline and seek collaboration with the regional population associations. The long term goal is to develop a set of instructional resources and help create a community of scholars distributed across the globe. This endeavor will include a MOOC in Spatial Demography, an edited textbook on Spatial Analytical Tools for Social Sciences, and efforts to increase the visibility of the field of Spatial Demography.
